There are a lot of unsolved questions. For example, did Mayann regain her "soul", or whatever it was that Nyarlathotep extracted from her in the dreamworld? Or was it the prerequisite for her dream adventure? Mochi is clearly a psychopomp, but she seems to know much more than she will reveal. One could even suspect that Mochi lures Mayann into a very dangerous game, because she is almost swallowed by the Demon Sultan, whose servant Nyarlathotep is. This was not my original thought, but everything points to the conclusion that Mochi is Yog-Sothoth. Yog-Sothoth knows the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the gate. Yiihaa! At long last; the conclusion of Nyarlathotep! This is almost (or totally) a metaphysical comic-strip…so many different levels of interaction and the rich symbolism (yummie)! Also, it was interesting to see the gang together in Paris, that is before their turbulent trip to Italy, and cudos (galore) to the giant Mochi-like creature in Mayann´s “dreamscape”.
